Chantal Nightingale Thomas is a costume designer and multi- disciplinary artist based in NYC. She is an Oscar Nominated Assistant Costume Designer and her extensive list of client/credits spans film, tv, stage, advertising, and live music.

Chantal is propelled by the collaborative nature of her projects and the desire to create garments that resonate with both performer and audience. As a character driven designer, her costumes have been praised for their rewarding use of color, texture, and silhouette; as well as for being innovative and rich in detail.

In addition to designing, Chantal is an accomplished cobbler, milliner, and metalsmith. She is well versed in aging, distressing, and embellishing textiles. Her development research is thorough and her knowledge of period clothing and accessories extensive. She most recently is a vintage collection contributor at Superette Vintage - NYC.
